Vernon is a town in Tooele County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 236 at the 2000 census.It is the birthplace of World War II Medal of Honor recipient Mervyn Sharp Bennion.
